Rumah Rūḥ — House of the Soul
Our story
At Rumah Rūḥ we collect interior pieces with a story, one-of-a-kind objects that carry the traces of time, the hand of the maker or the soul of tradition. Every piece is personally sourced by us from around the world, guided by our heritage, intuition, and deep appreciation for objects with presence.
We honour traditional craftsmanship by supporting both timeless traditions and contemporary makers who keep it alive and carry them forward. In a world that forgets to slow down sometimes, we stand with the quiet keepers of culture.
”Through their hands, heritage lives on. Through our spaces, their stories find a home.”
Mission
We curate handcrafted, one-of-a-kind pieces from around the world and tell their stories. And above all, we honour the cultures, artisans, and traditions behind them.
Vision
Inspire a more conscious way of living, one that values craftsmanship, authenticity, and connection to nature. We aim to shape interiors that not only reflect beauty, but also preserve heritage and nurture a deeper sense of well-being in modern life.
Curated with soul, guided by heritage.
With roots in Indonesia and Lebanon, we are drawn to cultures rich in craft, tradition, and raw beauty.
Our small collections are not mass-produced. Every piece is collected for its character or the story behind it.
The Founder
Afifa Frantzen van ’t Hull
”I’ve always felt a strong connection to my roots and I admired how people honour their heritage, keeping traditions and rituals alive. This inspired me to travel, explore different cultures, and develop a deep love for the stories, techniques, and objects that carry history and soul. There is something special about the human hand behind things, to pieces made with time and care.
Besides that, I deeply value calmness, nature, and the natural pace of life. I’ve learned how much a serene environment influences inner peace. Our surroundings shape our well-being, and that connection between space and soul is something I want to bring into Rumah Rūḥ.”
